Kelly Hunter

Founder / Watchmaker

Kelly Hunter founded Art of the Watch in 2006, specializing in vintage watch service and restoration – Rolex, Omega, Breitling and other fine timepieces.

Kelly’s father once handed him a newspaper article about a watchmaking program in Seattle. Kelly’s aptitude in math and science, studies in product/industrial design at Academy of Art, successful apprenticeship with two master jewelers, and passion for collecting vintage watches: this was the confluence of it all – the genesis of the rigorous, exacting training of a watchmaker. By the time he finished reading the article, he decided to enroll.

Two years and over 3,000 hours at WOSTEP  equipped him with the know-how to work on the top brands in the world. Hand fabrication. Exacting craftsmanship. Expertise that drives innovation.

Now that he has achieved the internationally recognized WOSTEP certification, AWCI CW21 certification and factory training with Rolex, Breitling and Omega, he is now called upon for his expertise.  Yet it’s the personalized service of the timepieces in which he thrives; the independent spirit of embarking on new watch journeys with the client.
